Opening Ceremonies
As the movers took the boxes down to the large moving truck parked on the street, Vincent stood there holding his briefcase. He wouldn't let them load this valuable piece, it was rather important no one see the contents of the case. He looked around, taking a long look off his balcony to the skyline of New York, his apartment right off times square. A family home, but not his anymore, he didn't want them to constantly worry over him, he needed to move on. Their Chicago subsidiary was needing a new chairman, and he thought it best to start small in his families line of work (Though you can hardly call Chicagosmall) He thought to himself.
Truth he was alos moving because Chicago needed him more, here there were many with abilities willing to stand up for the city. Chicago had a rougher time, a rougher life, needed a more hands on approach. With the last bit loaded onto the truck, he gave his empty home one last look before shutting and locking the door. The elevator down thirty stories was quiet, as he put his shades on and exited the lobby. Ben the security guard shook his hand and said his goodbyes. Vincent replied in kind, it would be a time before they might see each other again. Outside, the truck roared to life and made its way down the street. The semi headed to the airport, as Vincent exited the building, looking around, the planes flying overhead, or maybe it was a man. The roaring sound always sounded the same from a distance, some hero on patrol. He would miss some of them, but he needed to go.
Getting into the car, black bmw, his driver nodded and they went. Driving through town, one last look at his old home.
