Not much is known about the man, or being known as The Archive, some say he is a myth, others claim he is real, one thing is for certain though, in every era there is an incarnation. The current incarnation is of a young man, whom lives in a one bedroom apartment with two cats. He has no job, his home is littered with books and papers, and maps with strings, he sleeps on his couch, as each room is filled with books. Weird anecdotes, four computer screens running in the background and the sound of the city outside his window.
The Archive manifested when he turned eleven, where his ability, or curse drove him almost to the verge of insanity. His parents fearing the worst sent him to an asylum, as he fought to clear his head of the random knowledge now littering it. It took him seven years to piece together his mind into semi coherence and another five to figure out how to control it. By his mid twenties, he had a grasp and measure of control over himself to subdue his curse enough to lead a semi-functioning life. But knowledge is power, and with this power he learned of things from eons and times outside their own. Tomes and rituals, the knowledge processing through him made him a target, a threat to some of the darker entities of the world. So our man of mystery went underground, deep enough his existence became a myth, his name a legend, and known one truly knows who or what The Archive is now. But they are out there, listening, watching, and in time, acting.
